Summer 2022 Wallpaper and Home Textiles Collection
We are thrilled to share that our 2022 collection of wallpapers and home textiles is LIVE to shop on our website! I am so proud of this collection, which I started designing almost a full year ago.
The collection features four hand-painted patterns inspired by botanicals and fresh takes on classic concepts. The patterns are bold and painterly with larger repeats than our first collection- we like to think of these patterns as art for your walls and home.
“Geranium” is a lattice pattern of one of my favorite summer flowers, and was the first pattern I painted last summer. Catherine and I both love red, and we knew that we wanted to incorporate reds and bright pinks in this collection- I like to think of this pattern, which is available as a fabric and wallpaper, as a nod to the 1980s/1990s Laura Ashley florals I grew up loving.
“Botanical” is a large-scale pattern made up of twelve original botanical paintings I created earlier this year. It is available as a wallpaper only, and comes in two colorways- cream and green.
“Lilium” is one of our favorite patterns from our 2021 collection, and this winter, Catherine and I sat down and brainstormed different ways we could use the same concept (a painted collection of botanicals) and make it brighter and bolder. I have been greatly inspired by antique botanicals since coming across a set I loved at the Washington Winter Show in early 2020, and we love how designers such as Miles Redd, Becky Nielsen, and Amanda Brooks have recently incorporated botanicals in their wall coverings to create really beautiful and impactful spaces.
I believe that greenery can work as a neutral, and “Maidenhair” was my attempt to create a versatile but high-impact wallpaper and fabric that could do just that. Some of my favorite spaces we’ve seen by our trade partners over the past year feature two of our patterns, like “Lilium” and “Jasmine,” side by side, and we really wanted to keep that in mind while designing this collection. I would love to see a sofa covered in “Maidenhair” in a room wallpapered with either “Chintz” or “Botanical!”
“Chintz” was the final pattern I created for this collection, and I think it’s my personal favorite. We knew we wanted four patterns for the collection, but I’d been feeling stuck on inspiration. A friend of mine sent me some photos from a trip to the Greenbrier, and it immediately clicked. I had the opportunity to work with Pamela Munson on a vibrant chintz-y floral for our collaboration this past spring, and enjoyed the challenge of painting looser florals at a larger scale, so I was really excited to create a Dorothy Draper-inspired chintz for this collection in a similar scale.
Our new collection is now available to shop direct to consumer on our website as fabric by the yard and wallpaper by the square foot. If you’re a designer, we also have a trade program we would love for you to join!
Finally, we are excited to share that our textile and wallpaper collection is now represented by Travis & Company in Atlanta, GA, a storied showroom located in the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center.
If you are located in Atlanta, you can now see the line in person!
If you are a member of our trade program and located in GA, AL, SC, NC, TN, or MS, you can contact T&C directly to place your order!
Thank you all so very much for your support, and your patience as we took time to make this collection just right- we can’t wait to see how you use these patterns in your home.
