At Home: Pumpkin Beer Tasting
One of my favorite weekends of the year is quickly approaching! It might be an unpopular/unusual opinion, but Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. I love the creative costumes, the scary stories, and, of course, the pumpkin beer. This year will be our ninth (!!!) annual pumpkin beer tasting, and while a few things have changed since the first pumpkin beer tasting in 2013 (where my now-husband and I were the only attendees, and the “tasting cards” we used were the backs of his business cards), a few have stayed the same (every year, I try and make the same soft pretzel recipe, and since 2018, we’ve used the same tasting cards).
Dogfish Head Punkin Ale is usually my top pick, but I have been drinking Schlafly Pumpkin Ale since August, and I have a feeling it might be the winner this year (for me!) I will report back.
